One of my favorite things to do with water is to add natural flavors to it. Water often leaves me feeling blah all on its own and I LOVE water. But it gets boring after a while. My all time fav is Cool Cucumber, Lemon and Mint water. Also known as spa water or summer water.
Its great in the summer as a refreshing and cooling beverage compared to the hot summer son. But I enjoy it any time, especially when I have turn my bathroom into my mini spa. Best part is how simple it is to make.
Ingredients:
Pitcher
Water
Cucumber – sliced
Lemon – sliced
Fresh Mint Leaves – 4 to 6 leaves
How To:
I am lucky to have both fresh lemons and fresh mint growing in my yard. So I opt to use them. I slice the lemon and a cucumber – both whole and peel intact. I place the slices and the mint leaves, also whole, into the pitcher. Fill with water and chill in the fridge for at least an hour. The longer left to chill, the more the flavor infuses the water. Serve over ice and enjoy.
